School Success Ideas for Families
Let's have perfect on-time attendance. Coming promptly to school at 8:20am is important because classes start immediately with breakfast and our SEL morning program. (Lateness and attendance are recorded in student records. ) Also, remember that school ends at 2:40p.m.
At P.S. 159 Computer Science is the study of what a computer can and can't do. We believe in developing and growing each student's computer skills so they can understand how Computer Science and coding can be used in all walks of life. Our coding program offers multiple paths for creative coding classes and extracurricular activities.

P.S. 159 and NYU (New York University) have partnered to bring an exciting new coding program to our school. P.S. 159 is dedicated to advancing our students' coding skills and prepare them for future STEM opportunities as they continue their education. A strong background in STEM coding can lead to amazing job opportunities where people can make a difference to themselves and the world!
