P.S. 159 Isaac Pitkin offers a free after-school program for students in grades K–5. The program provides a safe, supportive space where students can complete homework, explore new interests, and spend time with friends after the school day ends. There are currently open seats, and families are encouraged to apply while space is available.

Students take part in a mix of academic support and enrichment activities each day. Dedicated homework time is built into the schedule, along with opportunities to explore creative and hands-on learning experiences.
A daily snack is provided for all participants.
Throughout the school year, the after-school program hosts special events and themed activities that celebrate the seasons and holidays. These moments help build a strong sense of community and create fun, memorable experiences for students and families.
Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment where students feel safe, stay engaged, and continue learning beyond the school day.
Placement is determined by lottery. Accepted families receive an email with next steps. Other applicants will be waitlisted.
